Beats me. I'm 32, and hitting the "RESET" button on life here. I start a career/abilities/interests evaluation class on the 20th. I've spent the last 8 years in real estate, but with the market shifting, now's as good a time as any to think about change.

And if all else fails (and I'm in a really rotten job market area), I'll go back to school. Not sure what for, I'll worry 'bout that when it happens.

I am going to be someone who works with computers, but I'm not quite sure what yet. Maybe a software designer.

used the GI bill to go back to school.  I have an AAS in Emergency Medical Services (EMT-P).  Now I am trying to get a job at a Fire Dept.  Most departments in Oregon have EMS.

Currently I work in the emergency room.  Kind of thinking I should of become a Nurse.  The pay is a little better, and jobs are way more plentiful.

Actualy those were MPs, but theyve been saying the intel guys told them what to do. 97echos(my MOS) to be specific. But, what should have happened, if everything was going by SOP, everyone from the generals on down should have known what was going on.

I think it was the MPs acting alone. But you cant really be too sure. Now the intel guys that interogate prisoners sign breifs that say things like "I know I am not supposed to blah blah blah" Its not tollerated.

Dbeau, have you read "Inside the Wire?"  It's a good read for someone going to be a 97echo.  What language do you plan  on learning, if any?

Already got my MOS, military inteligence, human intel gathering and interogation.

Might get out and go CIA or NSA

I ship to basic April 5th to fort Sill oklahoma and my intel training is in Fort Huachucca, Arizona.

That's close to what I'm hoping for. I'm shooting for inteligence or communications in the air force when I commision.

NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

Journalist.

I am torn between going into research/production for a network, or writing [aka, the real journalist] for some sort of publication.

Of course that all sounds well and good on paper, but it will end up going down to whoever is hiring when I make my exodus from college.

I'm thinking I'd like to teach, probably history/US government and stuff.

2111 Snake? That's the job I tried to get. They pretended I told them I wanted security forces when I just asked what that was....

Tae, I think it would be both ironic and hilarious if you got out and FOX was the only one hireing

If you have in writing you should be golden. When they start saying "Oh, those jobs will probably be opening up when we start the next fiscal year, if we dont get more before you ship, we'll get it done while you're at recruit training." Then you can start worrying.
