I hate these bands they are so overated.

Here are just a few-Fall Out Boy,Harthrone Heights, and the Rolling Stones.

What do you think are the most overated bands out there today?

Any Emo=crap

Now I wouldn't say that the Stones are overrated.  I don't care how much you hate them, they've been too successful to be considered overrated.

But did you listen to them at the Super Bowl. I thought the lead singer was going to break a hip. They are to old I think. The guy was out of breath half the time running on stage.

I don't see what the big deal is, they're old, thats life.  Do you really expect them to do this their whole lifes.  Besides, how often do you see someone their age playing at a concert?

If over-rated is the definition of being too successful, then those bands would definitely be considered that. However, I don't think a bands success has to do with over-ratedness. If someone is successful that is bad(as in they make a lot of money) then yes, they are over-rated. But if a band is good, successful, and therefore brings in some cash I would not consider them over-rated. Also, who decides whether a band is good or bad?

Everyone has their own music taste, I don't dislike someone because they are over-played or all the new teeny-boppers like them.
Therefore, I like Fallout Boy, however, I dislike Hawethorne Heights.

The Mars Volta is overrated.

I have every single Green Day CD ever put out, and I still find them to be over rated. Doesn't mean that I cant enjoy some of their music though.

.....

They have also been around way before you were born and have more songs than you have pubic hairs. They have many "classics" so to speak. I don't particularly like them, but if I happen to hear a song on the radio, I'll listen to it.

I wouldn't call the Rolling stones overrated, over the hill maybe, but they were alright.

FOB and HH however are just plain terrible. If your a pedo, these concerts are the place to be, waves and waves of 13 year olds.

What musical gems do you listen to?

I wasn't bashing rolling stones...i feel the same way, i don't like them but i'm not gonna be like "ARRRGGGH NOOO" if they come on the radio.

i wasn't trying to agree with amish man either. I'm just saying that the rolling stones seriously have played the same songs their whole career, i'm not saying it's bad or good...

Stones need to just stop. Whether that means stop singing/touring, or just have everyone drop dead, I don't care.

Mars Volta.... I just don't understand what people see in that.
