sooooo all the ads i read in magazines, watch on tv, or on the internet are all unethical?  common there is a difference between targeting the Native Americans than selling paint ball parts to a kid.

case in point:

Time magazine, January 23, 2006.  page page 19.  FedEx ad stating that if i am not using FedEx then i am missing the point.

page 27, Microsoft office ad stating that if i don't use microsoft windows, i am as dated as a dinosaur.

Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, June 2005.  page 15.  Mazda ad stating that if i don't use a rotary engine, my car will be slow.

page 76, AIM sports add that states if i don't own one of their data displays/loggers then i don't know what my car is doing.

so are all these unethical too?

this reminds me of those people that eat at McDonalds and get fat and then sew the company for their fatness...thats a real unfair marketing strategy...

C'mon everyone, let's play together nicely.

The bottom line is that there will always be unethical marketing and
advertising. And everyone can buy or order from whoever has what
they wish to purchase. It's YOUR choice.

Since I've never orderered anything from SpecOps, i can't say
whether they are a good company to order from or now. I have
ordered from Opsgear on numerous occasions and have had very
good response from them.

And, as for "all magazine ads being unethical" well or course they
aren't. I do have to ask this though...the Army says "be all you can
be in the Army." So what about college? Can you not be all you can
be by graduating from college?

Advertisng and marketing works like this...advertising can lead a
horse to water...marketing can make the horse thirsty in the first
place.

It's not heavy at all. It's just right for me. I haven't actually weigh it. I
actually like a little heft to a gun. when it's too light it feels to
"toyish" to me.

I was also geusted from their forum, after giving hard facts about the non-existance of snipers in paintball. I guess the SpecOps mods didn't like the fact that there was proof that it is physically impossible to be a sniper in paintball so they guest me and wash their hands of the evidence.

Yeah, you got in a fight with cops911, you said it wasn't right for him (an
admin) to sticky his BST then started making sarcastic wise cracks. I am
surprised you are back already but here is the Proof you wanted

No I did not. I didn't get in a fight with anyone. I was having a civilized debate about snipers, and the topic was suddenly closed fo no reason that I can comprehend.

Ok, it can't even copypaste it, so you can go to the specops forum then to
the paintball BST page and go to page 10 and down to COPS911 cleaning
out the closet and you will see he gets banned on page 2 but it all starts on
page one.

It's ok. You're review was very good and your gun looks great. I'm glad you had good experience with opsgear. They do seem to be much better than specops. They're site and products are less hyped too. Specops are a bunch of morons.

That underground mod shop is really out to snag noobs too. I would never order from them or specops. If I had the money to build a woods gun ($6.75 an hour as a cashier right now grrrr), I'd build a HK 416 with parts from opsgear. That is if they come out with a gas thru AR15 style banana mag. Can't wait till after college when I can afford a big collection!

But lets do a little math.

Lets say you want to buy one of Opsgear kits for A5 to make it look like "ultimate sniper". Price tag is around $240.

Now lets say some 12-14 years old kid earns $6 in hour doing something-something.

Now tell me this. Does this freaking kit cost 40 hours of underage labor??????

I am not even asking you how does it possible that cosmetic parts (not even performance upgrade!) cost more than marker itself!!!!!!!

You have to ask yourself, Does any price tag equal its truevalue? A house I payed 250gs is now worth 500g in 3 years, Parts for cars are worth more then the car its self. So if a company puts out a item for a select few that want it, They can ask any price they want. If no one buys it I bet the price would drop. If people dont like milsim items dont buy it. I'd rather spend the money on the milsim upgrades to enjoy my game. You think a case of paint is worth 100 bux??? DAmn I can paint a few rooms in my house for what I see kids waste on paint in just a few hours.

Where are you paying $100 for paint? I get damn good Xball paint at my local field for $45 a case.

You are supposed to get what you pay for. Don't advocate the practice of overcharging! Just because it happens doesn't mean it's right. Yea, there are companies that do take advantage of naive customers, but I won't buy from them. That's why a lot of people won't buy from specops. It's totally reasonable to boycott a company that takes advantage of noobs.
