So I went and bought a typewriter. Goodwill. $5. All it needed was a new ribbon, which I got for free. It is an Electric Carolina-Smith SL580. I got it because I have large stacks of paperwork and scholarship forms to fill out. My handwriting, even when attempting to be neat, is horrendous. The last typewriter I owned, was a 1950's model beast that weighed a ton and locked up, and smeared, and had no 1/! key. This one is smooth, electric and quiet. I really really like using it. The best is the sound. CHOOK CHOOK CHOOK. Seriously, the best sound ever. There are some pretty neat gadgets on this thing too. It somehow has a spell checker, I dont know how, but it advertizes that it has one. Also it has the "Correction Button", but it sucks. Does anybody else still own a typewriter,or use one for paperwork?
