The GL looks like every other oversized SUV out there. Boring. The R-Class has a very sleek look, superlong sunroof, more legroom in the second row than an S, and several sexy features, like F1-style paddle shifters (a bit goofy on a station wagon, but still fun), a super-smooth 7-speed transmission, curving headlights, and other coolness. I just test-drove one, and it is by far in the lead for the next Rambino baby-mobile. Given that its competition is the Acura MDX, it is the likely winner. Not many nice luxury family vehicles out there. (Damn salesman wouldn't let me take the SLR for a spin, though. I need to wear more bling next time.) Edited by Rambino |
