after using my freinds a5 with a stock, i decided i want one for my
m98. since im poor, im gonna make one myself. here is my progress. it
is made from 3/8" aluminum plate. gonna make a new end cap to mount the
stock from aluminum barstock on my lathe. here are some pics.

well i like that you design'd it youreself but is it comfortable ie.sharp,floppy and also are you gonna paint it or put something on it to make it more comfortable and look a little bit better also how did you secure it on |

its not gonna be floppy, its thick plate. ill hit it with a belt sander
till no sharp edges. and it will have a sholder plate or pad or
somthing. gonna paint it camo. to sucure it i am making a new endcap with a bracket on it.
same way a stock that i could buy would be secured.

started working on the new endcap today. did not have any billet the
right size, so i had to make some by sandcasting.cut the spure off on
the chopsaw and got it cleaned up alittle on the lathe.

Awsome. That things going to be pretty light. Pretty cool how you cast some aluimum because you didnt have a billet. I know your ot complete, but those edges on the stock are going to need to be smoothed off! Whats your plan for connecting the new endcap to the stock? Tig welding cast apparently sucks. |
