Ok, I use to have the flatline, but am downgrading to use a shroud. Can anyone tell me what the best barrel for 0-100.00 is for the A-5? I was lookin at the boomstick, but its too expensive and I cant find a used one. I am thinking about the 16" Werks...??? Looking for best range and average-good accuracy.

Don't get a 20"; anything over 14" is a waste of air. There are a lot of good barrels for under $100. My favorite would have to be the Smart Parts All American. It has great accuracy and only cost about $70.

You should get an Apex and find a short shroud and paint the Apex so it looks more like a silencer. That would be wicked cool.

no barrels besides the flatline and the "apex" add range. the only thing a barrel can be good for is more accuracy. a barrel length affects nothing also. a 20 inch barrel will have no more range than an 8 or ten inch. in fact i reccomend a ten to twelve inch barrel for efficiency, and convenience(the longer the barrel, the more crap youll snag your barrel on)

i suggest to you a ten or twelve inch custom products barrel. one piece or two, both are great

The apex looks just plain disgusting in my opinion. However, the 12" and 14" bigshots work great, and the beadblasted feature looks excellent on the A5

I'm also in the same situation grading a flatline against a sniper 12-18 inch barrel. I'd like something that works as good as a FL but can have a kewl shroud for it. I'd look on opsgear.com for their combo's you'll find some kewl stuff!
Good luck!

I have the flatline for the A5 but i also bought the Dye excel for cold weather since my flatline tends to act funny when it gets cold. I  shoot just the same as my friends J&J ceramic barrel on his A5 but i do get a better grouping with the DYE vs The J&J but thats my 2 cents.  sry Dye and J&J are 14 inch barrels

Personally I like the All American myself, but the thing about barrels is that you';re just gonna have to try them out yourself to get the one that feels best to you.

Don't get anything over 14". Waste of air, and decreases the paintball's velocity.
Ref: I want a nice clean game
player: but it's paintball!

Get a Lapco Bigshot.

It's possibly the best cost to value barrel out there. Bigshots are relatively inexpensive, extremely accurate and tolerate a wide array of paintballs very well.

agreed. it's slightly more accurate than the j&j, although the j&j is better at self-cleaning.
