This movie left you with a To Be Continued ending, and it felt llike they just rushed off the plot at the end of the movie.

Again, I laughed more than I was scared.

I really don't think I've ever seen a zombie movie that topped the original Night of the Living Dead (I think from '68, right?), the old black and white flick. Something about that movie just scared me senseless. The Bruce Campbell flicks were cool-Dawn of the Dead was a waste of my time. Seems like people have gotten horror confused with action.

No, the place I go into, they don't check to see if you're 17 for R, but she doesn't even look 15...

Night of the Living Dead (yes, 1968) statred it all. The budget for the movie was like under $1000 I think, but a lot of the horror in it set example for further movies. George Romero then made Dawn of the Dead (1979) which started the idea of humour to horror. I think Day of the Dead was inbetween the two or later, that one wasnt so good.

Then last year George Romero re-made Dawn of the Dead trying to give it a newer horror sense while still following the original style which is why I just loved this. Land of the Dead is just a new concept of new "zombie situations". Its a whole new story but hopfully they stuck with the same concepts as Romeros earlier to recent work.

Ya.. I just got back from watching Land of the Dead.

Ha, they carded me to make sure I was 17, I showed them my lisence and they let me in (even though I;m 16..)

It was a good movie, not on par with the first Dawn of the Dead, but better then the first night of the dead.

Had a lot of funny parts in it too..

But the zombies getting smarter ruined the whole theme...

IF YOU "KNOW" THEY ARE GOING TO SUCK BECAUSE ALL ZOMBIE MOVIES DO, THEN DON'T SEE THEM!

Thank you.

night of the living dead sucked unbeleivable amounts, but dawn of the dead was cool, and i like most zombie movies (28 days later is sooo good).

I can't wait to see this.

I thought it would...honestly how many times can an original story revolve around the same plot...Something happens, zombies come, someone fights zombies, zombies die, everyone is happy, Fin

There is really only so many thing that can happen in a zombie movie.

Normaly you have a bunch of people that have banded together. There are only a couple things that can happen.

A. A couple people die but the whole party survives for the most part, there are a few sprained ancles, and someone ends up turning into a zombie.

B. Everyone dies

C. The entire party survives and some sort of cure is found or all the zombies die.

D. The zombies spread and the entire world is now zombies, the hero is presumed to die because its him against the world. A la, butch and sundance.

I went out and saw it. I thought it was definitely well done. It's good to see the director getting back into the swing of things.

I also liked all the political commentary that was not so subtely thrown into it.

I didn't see this post before I went and saw it, for some reason it got high critic reviews. In this critics review, it blew zombie balls. Dawn of the Dead = good Land of the dead = dog poo. It was just a horrible movie. Nobody that I went with enjoyed it at all.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I wonder why it's not going over well with the under 21 crowd? The people who were old enough to remember Romero's original stuff when it came out are eating this up, including myself.
