I dont think it would matter if you are shooting firworks out of your gun considering that you could throw the firwork and still hurt someone
I think doing that in public would be bad for the sport but in the middle of the woods in your back yard, then who cares

Unless they were somehow shooting pure oxygen, it wouldn't kill them.

You're kidding me right? You don't think the media would care? People do driveby's with paintball guns, who do the politicians and media blame? The answer is the sport of paintball.
If someone breaks a car window with a baseball bat they don't go yelling to ban baseball..but because paintball involves "guns" its totally different in teh medias eyes.

I'm backing up YWSM 100% on this one. Setting aside the possible risk of
injury to yourself and/or possible damage to your equipment which of
the following headlines makes it onto the evening news?
"Today in America 10,000 people played paintball safely without incident or injury. Everyone had a good time."
-or-
"Teens maimed in Paintball/firework prank. Mothers move to ban the violent and dangerous sport."
Think about consequences. Just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should.

Testify!
It doesn't matter that it is just a firework. They are illegal in the first place (at least in Illinois) and to shoot it through a pb marker is just a double whammy. If you get caught doing this, the consequences on you and the sport will be felt.
To put it even more blunt, as of now we know your sn. If we even hear of something like this happening, we'll know its you. Have a fun time living that down.

well said, if you can't understand what we are trying to tell you then the sport of paintball dosen't need you! you ARE a bad example and i'm sure someday you will become a statistic
please stop the insanity and use a paintball marker the way it was intended.

I am saying it can be safe if people don't shoot explosives at other people. Fireworks are dangerous, but they can be fun if you watch what you are doing and don't be stupid by firing the fire crackers at other people. It is just the same thing with throwing fire crackers. People don't say that throwing fire crackers is that dangerous but it can be as dangerous as shooting others with them.

You may consider it "safe", and thats fine by me. You must, however, remember that this is a public forums and many of the people here are 13 years of age or younger(even though they aren't supposed to be on here). Promoting this type of thing is just fueling their mind to what other things they can do with a paintball marker. Tippmann(more like the moderators) is trying to uphold a family forum and misuse of paintball equiptment is not doing that.

Why do people keep bumping this thread up when it should die?
this post was not meant to bump the thread up but to try to get people to stop posting.

you just don't get it do you?
fire crackers are one thing what happens when a 12 year old stuffs a m-80 down his barrel and blows his gun, hand, half his arm and face up? throwing firecrackers vs shooting them, both bad ideas but when someone hurts themselves throwing them everyone says "dumb kid shoulda known better" if someone gets hurt shooting one right away it's them paintball guns, they are a bad thing and should be ban! this type of activity the sport of paintball dosen't need, it could only lead to one thing a black eye on the face of paintball.
