Actually paintball is pretty big here...Id say atleast half of the people in my shool have gone paintballing or own a gun.  Although there are those few "cool" kids who make fun of you for spening money on the gun and what not, but I just say w/e I like it....

They talk bad about paintball because they don't like you. They are associating a sport they never play with you and your friend- in their mind they see you and your buddy multiplied by ten playing against each other, and they must see it as humorous or lame.

My sport of choice is soccer- the only sport that is played by every country in the world and deemed as the favorite. Of course, Americans are idiots and loathe soccer.

sucks alot here in cannada(onario mostly) nobody plays paintball, well hardly anyone, people dont think its dumb or anything they just never do it cept at like a brithday or something, so its kinda lame, no really good feilds around ottawa..

I agree with Eliminator. If someone wants to wear pads and such and it brings some $ to a field or a shop then so be it. one way to get a newbee to quit is to laugh at him when he comes on the field with something you think is stupid. Instead try welcoming the newbee and show him how to play . so what if he wears extra equipment. So what if he dosen't have a $2000 gun and all the cool stuff. and the worst thing you can do is to bunker a new player, that may turn him off especially if you are playing rec ball. In a tourney thats a different story

Speaking about being injured I was at a match last saturday. It was a woodsball match and this guy snuck up behind me and shot but he missed so I dove out of the way and put a two inch gash in my leg. It went all the way down to the bone. I had to get eleven stitches and had to get my muscle sown back together. So shin guards would be a good Idea.

The ony time I ever got made fun of for playing was by an upper classman with a high pitched complainy voice, who despite all his protein shakes and NO(some number) is weaker than me and still says someday he'll look like Nelly(odd for someone who isn't black to say). So I just reminded him that I'm better than him.

Many of the girls that play today are forced to wear chest protectors, for reasons that will stay unmentioned because you should have enough common sense to figure it out.

If you don't like people that wear armour, keep it to yourself. Eventually they will start to take it off with the experience and tolerance they gain for taking the shot.
