When you say Mars Volta sucks you mean LimpBiskit. You can't say any band sucks if you like Limp Biskit. LZ > Mars Volta. Not much of a comparison. |

What the hell? Who the hell is debating over if the Mars Volta is
better than Led Zeppelin? We were talking about guitar playing in the

Sorry, Bugg & all the other Durstoids ... not to dizz da Bizkit, but I love the sound of the band, can't stand the lead man. I mean, how many times can you hear "WUT-CHU GONNA DO!?!?" without projectile vomiting ... ? The greatest band EVER??? HEY HEY BAD NEWS!!!!

Oh, I'm fine with what HWAY said, I respect him more than almost every other forumer. And like he said, to each man his own. I'm fine with him hating Fred. That wasn't the point of the past few weeks arguements though. The past few weeks had all these fights becasue I was being attacked for liking them.
Now, I would like to see ced or ILP attack HWAY for liking LB

Um, comparing The Mars Volta to Led Zeppelin is like comparing apples to oranges.
One is heavily blues-rock influenced, and the other is more along the lines of experimental prog-rock. They're both very talented, but Westerners are more accustomed to the time-tested sound of traditional rock and roll, so of course most will prefer the catchier, more popular blues-rock. You need cure yourself of this either/or syndrome that you've got, Zoso. The world does not deal in absolutes—some things can actually depend on personal preference. Amazing, eh? Neither one of them will qualify as one of my few favorite bands. |
