I would take SP off the list (Guess Why?)

Also, I would add System X, Extreme Rage, and Psycho Ballistics. I have had nothing but bad experience with all of them.

Armotech and Ariakon are too different companies. Ariakon doesnt produce the Zues. The Armotech WG models known as Generation I had a lot of problems but now have pretty much fixed them. Armotech didnt make the speedball guns, their sister company Speedball Inc(or a similar name) made them. Ariakon never made any either, but distributed the Nemisis(which is made by CY paintball I believe) and Ariakon just believed it was a great gun. Too milsim players, Armotech and Ariakon are the best milsim markers out there and are top of the line items. You cant dis it, till you know it.
You call the Eagle, Eagle does the rest.

I agree with Armotech just because their stuff doesn't work well and is insanely expensive.  I hate SP for their bussiness tactics, but their guns are good.  Brass Eagle isn't so bad if you're a total begginer and just trying out the sport.  DYE makes incredible products, but you're right; they are insanely overpriced.

I'm going to agree with County  and Reb on this one. I also do like the Ion quite a bit. The whole trend of more marker for less money and more competition instead of lawsuits, should bring down prices some. I though some of the stuff was and is being priced right out of the market. Entry level,on the other hand, is just that. If all that was available was what most of us have now for guns. Would we have even started playing. No, most of us would have said you're kidding me? I can't even start to afford that.

I dont agree with this one at all. Brass eagle doesnt make crap. They make low end entry gear that is ideal for people who want to get into the game to try it out and not spend a ton of money. I started off with brass eagle markers, and am pretty glad that I did. You can't expect their products to stack up to these fancy painthoses that are produced for tournament players now. Brass eagle is VERY good at what they do, which is, as I mentioned, providing tentative players with an affordable starting option.

^^^ reb is right, my first gun was a blade, then i purchased an avenger, then my a-5, then my minimag, all i still have, all still work

PLus it isn't just brass eagle, brass eagle is part of a larger corperation refered to now as K2 companies, Brass eagle, JT, WGP, etc. so good things come out of the same place

plus if there wasn't brass eagle there would be viewloader things which mean no revvy's and no eggs

so two of the most popular hoppers would not be around, plus their co2 tanks (being made out of steel) last FOREVER

Sounds like most pepole don't like kingmans/spyders but not to the extreme I don't. On my field pepole around here are nothing but tippmanns and occansionaly spyders and most the time pepole just unload on them they consider spyder the devil of paintball I agree to, but they do alright when they work.

I don't agree with those remarks about Kingman. All you do to unjam thenm is shove your barrel squeegie down the barrel really hard and push it back into the cocked position.

I too, have heard bad stuff about the System X stuff.

YES! how could i forget kingmann!  BEtter than brass eagle, but the more lower end guns (extra, victor (1 and 2), Imagine, ect.) seem to allways jam!  And it's hard to unjam because of the poor stock bolt design, it wedges the shell between the bodie and the bolt so it gets jammed really good.  I really havn't heard much about System X besides the fockers.  It crossed my mind to put them on but for some reason didn't.

Armotech would be such a better company if their gun prices were just a little cheaper, i was going to buy a sim 4 as my first gun but because of the huge price i went with an A-5 which could eventually become a better scenario gun then the ariakon producs, for half the price.

Dye u cant complain too much except their barrel prices are so high, their guns are decently priced but still a little expensive, i agree with everyone who said their begining to become a name brand company.

I hate Brass Eagle too, I love Dye & SP. Armotech is one of only a few that daddle with scenerio guns so they can push prices a little.

As for Brass Eagle, some of their gear is pretty cheap, but they sell it cheap so it seems fair. I do have to thank Brass Eagle for introducing a LOT of people to the sport with their low-priced introductory markers. Sure, the markers probably didn't hold up very well, but people who played because it was cheap, then liked it enough to upgrade might not have ever played if not for the BE stuff.

Dye - same opinion. Most of it is overpriced but it is nice stuff, in general. Like buying Nike instead of Keds.

Armotech - no real experience. Just not my thing.

i agrue with mike.

I love my Ion and Brass Eagle is really only targeted at entry level payers so you can't expect it to be world class. But other than that I agree.

well, with brass eagle, you get what you pay for.  dont expect to pay $15 for a pump and its a good one.  and with ariakon/armotech, i have nothing against them.  there are different types and styles of playing.  sure milsim is expensive, but speedball is just as expensive if not more.  and when you playing speedball, you might say "well i paid $500 and got a good speedball setup".  well if you buy ariakon/armotech, that is the best you can get for milsim, so of course it will be more pricey.  i have heard good about both companies as far as reliability, and its not that overpriced considering how much it would cost to convert a 98 into an mp5 or an m4.  the clip costs like $50.  barrel and mock suppressor and barrel grip costs like $120.  rear stock costs $70.  raised sight/carry rail costs another $50.  and if you take all that to a 98c, youre paying $459 anyways.  most of ariakon/armotech guns are only $400-$500.  so it all adds up.

just my 2 cents

i have to agree with you my friend had so many problems with his spyder.  I agree with with the companies you listed above you are right Dye is exspensive.  The protos are cheaper and thats why i got one.  I love it , its worth the money.
