900 lb test rope also means crap if its not designed for the outdoors.  whats the material its made of?

And the irony in calling us "little children" is profound. . .

for wat I have heard from you, HITMAN, I give you a congrats on your accomplishments for your tower. Rope would not have been my first choice either, but of course all I have around the house are screws and nails. When I was in scouts the rope lesson taught me nothing but of course I didn't have too much experience with rope. If the tower is steady and is holding up, more power to you. Can't wait to see the pics.

I hope the rope is of synthetic form... not made of natural fibers. back when I was like 8 a friend of mine Kenny, and I both made a small fort with fencing wood and a hot glue gun... didn't hold more than a week.

Oh?  Material doesnt matter?

If material didnt matter than all rope would be made of "wonderfiber" or something.  Certain materials have certain strengths and weaknesses.  Whats it made of?

I didnt say the rope wasnt meant for the outdoors.

And it is flawed because if you used the wrong rope there is a number of possible accidents that could happen.  You need to think about saftey first.

i never said it didn't matter and i don't care about materials, but they have to synthetic have a good weight capability...

once again, there are no flaws. we made sure there weren't. right now we have hand rails and are at this time working on walls and a top.  we even made a ladder using rope. it works and is safe, thats all that matters.

That tower WILL hold.  we made one out in my marsh 7 years ago using only lashing.  Its still up and very sturdy.  Use good rope, and it will be perfectly safe, provided you remember your lashings correctly

it will hold. i made a fort on the ground it had walls and a roof.  Let me tell you why yours will hold, when i made mine we didn't use anything we used v sticks and constructed using every angle and placemnet for logs we could.  It held for 3 years without a problem.  Then One day the ceiling caved in.  I still think it was the neighbors who did that.
