I need a new tombstone adapter for macro

   The guy at the store said that I will need to purchase a brand new tombstone adapter to hook up my macroline. I still have the braided with the tombstone. He said I can't remove the tombstone from the braided line. I haven't tried cutting or dicing anything off of it yet. But is all this that he is saying true? What will I really have to purchase?
