Hey, it's a local band. Not local to me, but a local band otherwise. Hey, it appears they haven't played yet. I know you're gonna be a bit biased, but how do they sound so far?

I hang out with a local band in St. Louis. The local scene here sucks, hardcore. There are no real fans, most of them are just friends of the band members or girls looking for a quick. They're also hardcore anti-local scene. They don't support any band but their buddies. We've had bands that get on stage and make horrendous noises with off-beat rhythms and their friends will cheer like they're the coolest sound they've ever heard. Most local bands here make my ears hurt. How's the local scene in L.A?

Anyway, whoever made the A-5 comment:
The 98C is more durable only in relation to the Cyclone on the A-5. The 98C's electronic feature (E-bolt) isn't really up to par. The E-grip is much better than the complicated and fragile E-bolt (they break too much for a Tippmann product). The A-5 is easier to upgrade, and will take the same upgrades a 98C will. However, the A-5 has more upgrades available mainly because you don't have to be forced to make your x-chamber your grip. You can have two, three grips on the gun if you want. Go to http://www.opsgear.com and tell me which gun has more options for upgrades. Plus, the A-5 accepts standard x-chamber fittings and doesn't need a special vertical adapter. The only thing is the Cyclone- and that just requires opening the bottom plate of the cyclone during routine maintenance and some oil added, and even better a little lithium grease. Plus, you hopper won't run out of batteries. And you don't have to worry about breaking the feed neck. And with the addition of the R-5, you can now customize the A-5 hopper more.

The "new Tippmann" gun coming out already did. No, don't freak out and scour this website, you won't find it. Why? It's not a "Tippmann" gun it's the BEN TIPPMANN BT-16. Thats not Tippmann Pneumatics (sorry- Tippmann SPORTS).

If you've got the money for it, go with the A-5.  It's the only marker I've had though, and it's been great to me.  It's the greatest woodsball marker to begin with and grow with (completely customizeable and game-adaptable).  {It basically has a high-end 'electronic' (I know, it runs on excess air) hopper built right onto the side of it (great feature).}  I've never had the A-5 chop a ball in the chamber or break a ball in the barrel.  (And it's got the versitility of converting into a simulation marker, if you wish.)

i bought my a-5 back in april, only chopped 4 balls out of 3 cases so far. i have an r/t, flatline, remote, and  car stock only cost me $345. "gun, r/t, and flatline are used" i was looking at the 98c but turned it down since i love taking apart things easily, its not alot of effort i can take mine apart clean it and  put it back together within 5-7 min. ive kept it clean after every game and day that i use it so it hasnt had a problem "other than the rear bolt o-ring warping".

The only reason why there are more upgradable options fer the A5 compared to the 98c is because the people of Osgear.com totally dislike the 98c....this I know, cus me and several other 98c owners have spoken to them when they had their own forum a few months back.

Which band are you talking about? Do they have a website? The L.A. scene is oversaturated as hell, but since there is so much of everything here you can find what your looking for if you try.

Go with the 98c, as veryone else has said it is the easiest to upgrade. Plus depending on what kind of role you play, the tippmann can be changed fairly quickly to perform this role. Also, my friend has found it almost impossible to break his(dont ask)
