Because they are very efficient and don't freeze up like C02 in the cold.

b/c you actually have a regultor coming off the tank, guage, better pin valve, not just a hunk o metal like co2 tanks, real work goes into making these, way lighter for the size thats basically it, they aint that expensive i got mine for 80 bucks (my friends dad owns a paintball shop) but to bad for u guys that have to pay 200
