Hey how this post get way back here on page 2?Oh well.S it goes farther with the armson and is more accurate?Cool. But is it $70 better?Im sure just a J&J barrel would be fine for me.And thanks for the links guys. Just checked out that link.It say the J&J barrel is ceramic. Is that good? Also what do you think about those 32 degrees barrels? Thanks,Tyler Edited by Germanater |

Oh, dang it, got my math wrong! Sorry, I just edited my reply. I meant to say that only 30ft less distance than the FL when the barrels are pointed straight at 180* (benched). Now yes, the Armson stealth has a spiral rifling inside the barrel, but it's nothing like a real rifle. Again i'am sorry for confusing you (and myself,LOL). Later. Edited by C.G.O. |

The FL is the best for distance, but for accuracy, it's ok/good. I'd say the best barrel for woodsball would be the Armson Stealth. I use to down-talk that barrel until I saw one perform last sunday. The accuracy was like a .22 rifle and its distance was about 30ft less than the FL's(when pointed straight at 180*)!! Unlike the reviews say, the rifling design DOES WORK and isn’t very paint picky. Now, the Armson stealth is a $70 barrel, but you get the best of both worlds(accuracy and distance).
Good luck! *EDIT* Yeah, 1/3 less, LOL! What was I thinking? Sorry! Edited by C.G.O. |

I can say "no one" in the paintball community actually "uses the sites on their gun"....we have paintball markers that simulate and imitate real firearms.

Most people do not use their sights. Most people look down the side of the barrel. It is more accurate to look down the side of the barrel then using the sights for me. I also have to look down the barrel because i have a vertical feed autococker. I did look down the side of the barrel with my 98c though.

You get better accuracy and range. If you buy a barrel that is made for your gun then it will screw right in but if its made for a diferent gun you have to buy a thread protector(ex. Spyder to 98 threads, Angel to A-5 threads) |

Don't get the flat line, it is not worth it. There is no difference between the 12" J&J ceramic and the 14" other then 2 inches. If you are in the woods and running around trees you might want to get the 12". If you are playing speedball and want to play more profile you can get the 14" and push the barrel into the side of the air bunker. Tippmanns are way better then spiders in the long run, get some new tippmann-loving friends |

i heard after the ball is shot 14 in. in the barrel from the front bolt that is slows down the ball. If your going to get a new barrel i would say get a flatline. I have one and it awsome! And you friend says ur dumb for getting a 98 custom, i would agree with him because tippmanns are known for durability and most upgradible.
