I don't know much about it but I do know that it looks better,
but if you like the rifle grip obviously the 98 would be a good choice.

I don't use the sights either but I would rather have the original sites than those cheap ones that look bad. The 98's shroud wobbles too. I don't know about the A-5's. All I know about the A-5's is it looks better... But everyone has different opinions.

I never use the sights on the 98c Flatline, I use my own eyes.

The 98 Flatline shroud makes you use its crappy sights. At least with the A-5 you can use the original sights.

Theres one other thing between the 98c and the A5 Flatlines, the A5 Flatline is loud as heck compared to the 98c Flatline and the reason fer this is...the A5 Flatline doesnt have a muzzle break like the 98c Flatline.

I have owned both a 98 flatline and an A-5 flatline.
For me: 98 Flatline > A-5 Flatline I found that I was not able to get the distance out of the A-5 flatline that I could out of the 98 flatline. I also like being able to drop the hopper and run a pull thru through the 98 flatline w/o having to remove the barrel. Inorder to clean my A-5 flatline I have to keep the front screws loose so I can pull the barrel off to clean it. |

The shroud on the 98 is cheap. Unless you pay 45 more bucks to get the aluminum shroud, I will always like the A-5's more.

The A-5 Flatline is shorter, easier to "install," easier to clean, easier to remove for use of other barrels, and impossible to screw up. Clearly better.

Well, the 98's Flatline looks better than the A-5's.
However, the A-5's Flatline is said to be improved over the 98's. That help? |
