yes, most barrels are smooth...but still the evil pipe has lost its coolness after ppl actually bought and see how it sucked. it is better then the other never heard of before barrel companys but just barley (sp?). evil should stick to its driver barrel, there cool stickers, there paintballs, and the P.I.M.P.

Definitly the Freak. It has more inserts meaning more versatility and with the new SS inserts its just as durable as any other barrel kit out there. Evil makes junky trash that is usually way overrated, the EP is no exception. Check out pbreview.com and you'll ee that it didn't get the best reviews in the world.
(I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...)

if ur really gonna be careful, then the tip wont matter. but its how the barrel SUCKS...but it is opinions. go to a feild, ask if u can borrow a pipe to shoot (if they still carry it) go to the chrony...and shoot. if ur proshop ppl are nice they will watch over while u borrow it. then ask if u can do the same wit a freak. then u decide.

....i have this strange feeling im gonna end up in some sig.

the tips are about...2 millimeters wide. ( i think ). kinda makes u think twice before diving.

i have heard that the tips on the pipe kit are really thin and can bend the tips i have seen look pretty thin so i think that its possible they might bend

I'm with SeaWolf. The Freak is just a lot more versitale and it has the years behind it to make it a great barrel. If you get the SS inserts, you'll love it. Mostly because the inserts are stronger and that leads to better reliability and that means less problems (if there are any with the Freak system). I say the Freak.

So go with the Freak, since it can be used on many guns (with the right back) and the pieces are common/easy to find.

The Pipe is good, but REALLY expensive. Also, I've seen cases where the bore of the tip was smaller than the bore of the back

If I were you, I'd go with Kanar. I've heard a lot of good things about them and Autocockers.

I use a Freak. I like it a lot. I don't know why people bash it. It's the most versatile.
