I completely disagree.

I for one care about intelligent political discourse, regardless of the source.  Many 14-year-olds on this forum consistently display better reasoning ability and common sense than many of the older, and allegedly wiser, members.

Not to mention that if nobody cared, this thread wouldn't be 10 pages.  Simple youth does not disqualify an opinion, any more than age guarantees wisdom.

I can think of many 14-year-olds who would make much better voters than many "adults."  The current 18-to-vote rule is just as arbitrary as the 21-to-vote rule of yesteryear, and just as arbitrary as the "only white male landowners get to vote" rule from before that.  To infer a general view of the capabilities of our youth based on their youth alone is a tad silly.

My apologies for the digression.
