can someone post a pic of a 98c with a flatline without the shroud? i want ot see what one looks like because i dont like the look of the shroud and i heard that the gun looks kinda cool witha bent lookin barrel. i shot a flatline today and it went far but curved up after about45 feet, is this normal? i can pick up a flatline for 90 bucks that has been used once, is this a good deal?thanks

Why would you wanna see that and well of course the Flatline barrel is bent, thats where the idea of the backspin on the paintball goes into play when its shot and if you wanna see a pic similiar to yer question, jus look up above on the Tippmann banner and click "accessories" and then "barrels", theres a pic in there that shows the 98c wit the Flatline barrel but wit the metal shroud and gettin it fer $90.00 thats a steal....and if you decide to get it jus hit me up on the pm, I'll tell what you need to know on what Ive experiened wit my 98c Flatline.

keep the shroud. If you want to take the shroud off, you might as well get a different barre.

Yeah i dont think i will take the shroud of now. i want to buy it but i didnt want the shroud because it is plastic and cant be powderocated to match my gun so then i looked at a metal shroud but it looks like crap. ill probaly keep the shroud and paint it and hope that the paint lasts. dont you think that a black flatline shroud would look weird on a siver to blue faded 98? i would powdercoat the barrel part for sure.

personally wheile i had the 98 flatline i left the shroud off not for looks but because of the fact that when a paint ball broke in the flatline it ment taking the barrel out but not the thread adapter then when i finished cleaning it i had to re allign it    which in the middle of a game is a real pain if you leave the shroud off you can unscrew the barrel clean it then screw it in   without allignment probs
