Topic: shouldnt take long to answer.Help Posted: 25 July 2004 at 11:18am |
on the model 98 trigger there is a metal peice on the back that is covering a spring so that if you push in it comes back out. what does that do in the gun? is it really necessary? if i make another trigger then do i have to put one of these on the new trigger?

That is the slider spring, it returns your trigger back into place along with the sear and rear bolt ya id say its important haha.
Some people actually replace the spring inside their with a much stronger one of the exact same size to get a stronger trigger return.

I tried making that a solid piece , hoping I might get a faster response on my trigger , BOY DID I !! . It was full AUTO after that ,until I spent about 45 minutes scraping off the superglue and cleaning up the slot again . its there to help reset your trigger , after you release it .
