Hey i have a 98 Custom and im gonna get a DOP Universal Drop forward and a DOP X-Core x-chamber and i need to know how long of steel braided hose to use(i dont want macroline), i think its 4 inches. Also does installing the X-chamber or drop require loctite or teflon tape? If so ho do u use it? Any links would be great.

Thanks

You should always use teflon tape or, if you have no tape, loctite ( I don't recommend red loctite), on your gas fittings. Simply wrap teflon tape around the threads of the fitting and tighten the fitting.

For the steel braided hose, if you think 4 inches will work, then it probably will. But, you could just wait until you get the parts so you can measure before buying the hose.

4 inches may be a little short. Don't they make a 6 inch? I'd get that. It's okay if the hose is bent a little. Better to have a little too much than not enough.
