2013 will be one of the most exciting years for Tippmann since we started in paintball back in 1986. This year will include three major new product introductions, an expanded grass roots program and a continued focus on growing the great game of paintball.
On the new product side, we are introducing two technologically-advanced markers and a new goggle line, all offering patented or patent pending features not currently available in the market. The first is the new Crossover™ marker with FlexValve® technology. The Crossover is designed for the hybrid player looking for a lightweight, high-performance electro-pneumatic marker that can handle the rigors of woodsball but can also Crossover to any style of play. And because it utilizes the FlexValve technology, it offers players the patented ability to go from electronic to mechanical mode with the flip of a switch.
The second new marker we are introducing is the new FT-12 Flip-Top Rental. Tippmann has dominated the rental market for years, and now it’s time to revolutionize it. The FT-12 has the durability and reliability you have come to expect from Tippmann, and takes maintenance to a whole new level, reducing maintenance time by as much as 75%. And it looks pretty cool as well.
On the accessory side, we have a new goggle line, designed by industry vet Lester Broersma, which includes several retail configurations and a rental version, all of which feature a patent pending quick-release lens system and high-performance Toroidal lens. These goggles provide players with a line that focuses on improved visibility, comfort and coverage. And the replacement foam system on the rental goggle is sure to save fields time and money.
To help grow the game, our grass roots effort is stronger than ever with sponsorship of more than 100 events worldwide, an expanded Tippmann Challenge program and new relationships with the NPPL and Greg Hastings’ Tour of Duty which give greater exposure to the Tippmann and NXe product lines. And of course, we will continue to build our “Experience Paintball” program to further expose new players to the game.
On the social marketing front, we continue to lead the industry in our Facebook effort with over 200,000 fans on multiple Tippmann Facebook pages. We recently updated our web site to showcase our expanded line of products. And our new mobile web site and mobile apps provide the latest news and new product information.
In 2012, our key brands will continue to showcase our commitment to providing the best selection of products and marketing support to help grow the game.
