BUFFALO GROVE, IL - December 15, 2006 - In conjunction with the introduction of the groundbreaking X7 marker, Tippmann Sports is unveiling a new line of co-branded performance apparel with Special Ops Paintball. The two industry leaders have also joined forces to offer more than 30 new co-branded modifications for Tippmann's popular A-5 and 98 Custom line of markers - all part of the single most comprehensive product launch for scenario and woodsball players in recent years.
"We believe that the apparel we developed with Special Ops and the new marker modifications will become the industry standard for woodsball and scenario players across the country," said Patrick Ehren, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tippmann Sports. "By formalizing our relationship with Special Ops, we were able to round out our product offering very quickly. Now players can truly turn to Tippmann for their complete paintball equipment needs - from the best designed, most durable markers and modifications to the coolest, most innovative gear and apparel."
The new Tippmann/SO apparel includes a line of Fusion pants and jerseys as well as Ultralitepants and jersey. The Fusion tactical apparel features a variety of storage compartments and protective padding and is designed for ultimate comfort and mobility. The Ultralite line incorporates similar features, but is constructed of breathable, lightweight mesh - making it the ideal option for play in warmer temperatures. Two vests will also be available, which will allow players to stow their gear, tools and accessories in total style. All apparel and vests will bear the Tippmann/SO Tactical Wear logo.
"All of our apparel is designed by paintball players for paintball players," said Greg Bishop, General Manager for Special Ops Paintball. "We're very excited about the pants, jerseys and vests being launched with Tippmann because they've been designed to deliver the ultimate woodsball experience. And, at the end of the day, that's what our partnership with Tippmann is all about - giving players easy access to the gear and equipment they need to maximize their enjoyment of the game."
The modifications being introduced for Tippmann's popular A-5 and 98 Custom line of markers include a wide array of shrouds, foregrips, standard and air-thru buttstocks, magazine clips and risers.
