BUFFALO GROVE - August 15, 2006 - Tippmann Sports is introducing a new line of paintball markers under the Triumph by Tippmann brand, which were designed to deliver lightweight, compact performance and an exciting new look at an affordable price. The three models in the line, the Triumph XL, Triumph XT and Triumph eXT feature a center feed, double trigger, fast-firing design and will have a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) ranging from $99 to $159 based on available features.

"We've been watching this segment of the market for a while now, but we wanted to make sure we could fill a need in the marketplace and develop a new marker worthy of wearing the Tippmann name," said Patrick Ehren, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tippmann Sports. "We're very excited about the Triumph brand of markers because they offer new and entry level paintball consumers the opportunity to get a quality, durable marker without having to spend a lot of money."

It was important for Tippmann to build the Triumph line using the time-tested internal design of the company's existing markers. All three new models utilize Tippmann's patented in-line bolt design and feature metal internals. The resulting durability is expected to help the Triumph markers standup to the rigors of frequent play and deliver reliable, worry-free performance.

"With Tippmann components inside each Triumph marker, consumers will find the dependability they're expecting to keep them on the field," said Denny Tippmann, Jr., Senior Vice President of Research and Development for Tippmann Sports. "Although these markers may look a bit different than what we've manufactured in the past, they're definitely Tippmann's at heart. So, in many respects, this was a pretty natural extension for us from a product development standpoint."

Each Triumph marker features a high impact, molded-composite receiver, which is lightweight and ideal for younger players. Plus, the drop forward and expansion chamber are integrated directly into the markers' design offering players enhanced durability and a clean, comprehensive look right out of the box.

The Triumph XL features an 8.5" aluminum barrel and will be sold in a Power Pack, complete with an anti-fog goggle, nine-ounce aluminum tank and 200 round hopper. The Triumph XTfeatures a built-in expansion chamber, an 11" aluminum barrel and a rubberized front grip for added control. Finally, there's the Triumph eXT, which takes the Triumph XT and incorporates an electronic trigger with four different firing modes. Both the XT and eXT include a 200 round hopper and are available individually or as a Power Pack.

"Really, the new Triumph markers are all about fun, fast and reliable performance for those looking to get started in paintball or the existing player searching for an affordable, dependable marker," Ehren added. "We're offering a progressive-looking product backed by proven technology starting at just $99. We're pretty confident the Triumph markers are going to really turn some heads."

The introduction of the new Triumph markers follows the successful launch of two Triumph-branded electronic loaders earlier this year. Each loader, the SSL-200 and the AL-200, can hold up to 200 paintballs and features a lightweight, aerodynamic design, which mimics the contours of the new Triumph markers. Additional accessories are expected to be added to the Triumph by Tippmann line in the coming months.

The new Triumph markers are available in red or blue and each is backed by Tippmann's standard, comprehensive one-year warranty. All three markers will be available at paintball specialty stores, mass and sporting goods accounts and select web-based retailers beginning mid-September 2006. More specific product information and retail availability will be available on the new Triumph web site following its launch in the coming weeks.

"We're very pleased to finally offer a tournament-style marker and the Triumph brand provides us with the ideal platform to enter this new market," Ehren said. "While offering players a great new product under the Triumph name, Tippmann Sports will continue its unwavering dedication to manufacturing the most innovative, durable and upgradeable products for scenario-style players as well. We're equally as excited about some new products on the horizon for our loyal woodsball consumers."
